gingerbread houses

Another tradition (but not new to this year) is our annual gingerbread house activity for the kids.  They look forward to it each Christmas season, and we are thankful that we could decorate with some of our cousins...Carter, Kaitlyn, Stephanie, Brayden, & Jackson.  We had a fun time, and we are thankful for Uncle Todd & Aunt Helen hosting it at their house each year!

Brady ready to start...he was so excited that he forgot to put the icing ("glue") on there and went straight to the pixie stick!  This boys loves sugar!!
I am ready to start as well...
...& all smiles!
This was Brecken's first time doing a house, and he did great.  He was so excited...
...& concentrated really hard on putting the candy on the house...love those lips!
He was so proud of his work...he would want to "reward" himself by eating an M&M after each time he put one on his house! :)
Still decorating...

Brady still decorating...this time, using the icing to help his candy stick!
He loved his peppermint stick chimney.
Brady, Jackson, & Aunt Courtney
I was busy adding lots of details to my house.
Daddy & me with my finished house
Mommy & Brady with his house
Mommy & Brecken with his house
All our houses...Mine, then Brecken's with mine, & Brady's house...and, we each have some of our decorated cookies on our plates as well.
What a fun afternoon.  We had a great time making our gingerbread houses...so many fun Christmas activities.
